For NINA JANVIER, my goal was to elevate her brand story and hoist it into the affordable luxury market by crafting a narrative that focused on showcasing meticulous craftsmanship, the nobility of the materials, and custom production. By weaving in themes of nostalgia, I highlighted the connection between the designs and Nina’s inspiration—carefree summer holidays, a deep bond with nature, and her pastoral upbringing along the rugged French coast. This approach positioned the brand as both luxurious and emotionally resonant, making each piece not just jewelry, but a meaningful expression of individuality. And let’s face it, I love me a bit of bougie bling.

Collection descriptions

Amidst the bustling marine world and port atmosphere, dockers ready moored ships for their next voyage. Long-standing superstitions have perpetuated the belief that women bring bad luck aboard ships. Despite the exception of the figurehead, often depicting a female bust, sailors have historically overlooked them in maritime life.

Marinera, derived from the Spanish word for "marine," hurls femininity at a traditionally masculine sphere. It celebrates raw beauty and grace, embracing vibrant colors and fluid movements. In a striking fusion of neon hues, lustrous pearls, scales, and interwoven shells, Marinera breathes new life into classic pearl necklaces and chain motifs, infusing them with a contemporary interpretation. NinaJanvier collections pay a loud tribute to the sea, its dance, and its formidable power, highlighting determination, resilience, and audacity—essential attributes for navigating turbulent waters and challenging conventional attitudes.

Openwork sculpture

Introducing a unique design inspired by the rugged contours of coastal landscapes. Worn on your finger, it subtly exposes skin, creating a complex yet understated statement.

The Escama ring, initially resembling a dune, undergoes a transformative journey. As the metal is meticulously smoothed, it evolves into a perforated design reminiscent of cliff erosion. The pursuit of perfection paradoxically births a unique imperfection, making each piece a distinctive fusion of contemporary art and natural shapes.

The Escama ring is locally handcrafted by Nina in her Montreal atelier.
